Export Controls Policy

It is the policy of West Virginia University and the West Virginia University Research Corporation that instruction, research, and services will be accomplished openly and without prohibitions on the publication and dissemination of the results of academic and research activities. Any exception to this policy should only be made after careful review of the potential implications and submission of a written request to OSP. This request should outline why it is necessary to restrict publication and dissemination of project information and must be endorsed by the Principal Investigator, Department Chair, and Dean.
