Establishing an Award Decision Tree

I would like to establish an award:

1. Has the proposal been funded?
   1. If no: A request for a verbal approval will need to be completed.
   2. If yes: continue to number 2.
2. Does this project involve internal compliance approvals?
   1. If no: See number 3.
   2. If yes: Has the approval number been obtained?
      1. If no: Failure to complete compliance protocol can lead to a delay in release of award funds.
         Choose the type of compliance approval needed:
         1. Animal
         2. Biohazard/Biosafety
         3. Human
         4. Radiation
         5. Export Control
         6. Conflict of Interest
      2. If yes: The number will need to be provided to OSP before funds will be released to your college.
3. Does the project involve more than one department or college or require more than one task?
   1. If no: See number 4.
   2. If yes: Has the DA number been located for each task?
      1. If no: Contact your EBO or DBO to locate the correct DA number for your sponsored project.
      2. If yes: The DA and fund number will need to be provided to OSP along with a line-item budget for each task.
4. Does the sponsored project have cost share as part of the award?
   1. If no: See number 5.
   2. If yes: Has the DA number been located?
      1. If no: Contact your EBO or DBO to locate the correct DA number for your sponsored project.
      2. If yes: The DA and fund number will need to be provided to OSP along with a line-item budget for each task.
5. Have the departmental activity and fund number been located?
   1. If no: Contact your EBO or DBO to locate the correct DA number for your sponsored project.
   2. If yes: The DA and fund number will need to be provided to OSP along with a line-item budget for each task.
