Memorandum from the VP of Research and Economic Development about the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act
Effective immediately all proposal budgets being submitted for funding with an F&A Rate that is not in accordance with our approved rate agreement are to be calculated on the Total Direct Costs and not the Modified Total Direct Costs unless otherwise specified in the solicitation or RFP.
For example: An agency that limits the F&A to 15% would have the 15% calculated on all costs
Reminders:
New Policy for Personnel Costs on Grants and ContractsEffective May 15, 2006, all proposals, (new, non-competing continuation, revisions, competing continuation, etc. ) must be submitted to OSP no later then five (5) working days prior to the agency submission deadline. Proposals must be complete with all sections at that time.
F&A:
The Facilities & Administrative (F&A) costs as well as the fringe benefit rates for FY 2009 are summarized below. While the F&A rates have not changed, the proposed fringe benefit rates shown are tentative and will be reviewed and approved later this fiscal year. However, in the meantime, researchers are asked to use these rates when preparing any proposals or renewal budgets for sponsored activities taking place after July 1, 2009.
